Prayer Vigil for Migrant Families: Thursday, June 21 2018
This Thursday is the longest day of the year. St. Bart’s stands with other Episcopal Churches in our Diocese of Maine, and around the country as we pray for the families on the border, both parents and children, particularly those who are separated from one another, for whom every second, every minute, every hour, every day is the longest day of their lives.
Our doors will be open for prayer from 7:30am to 7:30pm this Thursday, June 21st. Prayers will be available for you to use during your visit if you so wish. If you are unable to physically be at St. Bart’s this Thursday, let’s hold these families in prayer as we go through the day. Download the prayers if you would like to pray with us virtually.
There will be an opportunity to gather and pray collectively on Thursday evening at 6:30pm.
God’s dream is that you and I and all of us will realize that we are family, that we are made for togetherness, for goodness, and for compassion. – Desmond Tutu
